Refugee Children for Inuit Children

 The Humans for Peace Institution is proud to work hard to strengthen the relationship between newcomers and Indigenous peoples in the capital region. As part of this event, a group of Syrian children who raised $2,200 to help the Inuit children accompanied with the Honorable Nathalie Des Rosiers MPP Ottawa-Vanier on June 21st 2018 visited The Ottawa Inuit Children’s Centre to celebrate both National Indigenous Day (#NIPDCanada) and World Refugee Day (#WorldRefugeeDay), and to handle the cheque to the Executive Director Karen Baker-Anderson. The Syrian newcomers had fun, play games, and hand over their cheque to support the Ottawa Inuit Children’s Centre.
