As part of its annual humanitarian efforts, the Humans for Peace Institution has launched its Ramadan 2025 distribution campaign by providing essential food and care packages to individuals and families in need. This year, the organization has expanded its reach, delivering 600 Ramadan packages in three major Canadian cities—Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver—and an additional 200 packages to families residing in the Al-Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan.

A Global Outreach for Ramadan

The institution’s goal is to foster compassion and unity during the holy month of Ramadan by supporting underprivileged communities both locally and globally. Ramadan, a time for fasting, prayer, reflection, and charity, has inspired many to come together and help those in need, and the Humans for Peace Institution’s distribution efforts embody this spirit of giving.

Local Efforts in Canada

In Canada, 600 Ramadan packages were distributed across the cities of Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, with a focus on families experiencing financial difficulties or facing food insecurity. Each package contains a carefully curated assortment of essential food items that are commonly consumed during Ramadan, such as rice, lentils, dates, flour, oils, and various spices, which will help families prepare nutritious meals during the fasting month.

Volunteers in each city played a crucial role in assembling and distributing the packages, ensuring that they reached the homes of those who would benefit the most. The initiative received support from local businesses, donors, and community members who came together to make the campaign a success.

Extending the Reach to Al-Zaatari Refugee Camp

In addition to supporting Canadian communities, the Humans for Peace Institution has always been committed to assisting displaced and vulnerable populations worldwide. For Ramadan 2025, the organization sent 200 food packages to the Al-Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan, which is home to over 80,000 Syrian refugees.

The refugee camp is one of the largest in the Middle East, and many of its inhabitants struggle to access basic necessities such as food and clean water. With Ramadan being a time of self-reflection and giving, the package distribution in Al-Zaatari is a symbolic gesture of solidarity and support for those who have endured hardship.

The packages sent to the refugees contained similar staple items, ensuring that families could break their fast with dignity and enjoy the blessings of Ramadan despite the challenges they face daily.

The Importance of Community Support

Mohammad Ali, the founder of the Humans for Peace Institution, expressed his gratitude to all volunteers, donors, and partners who helped make the Ramadan distribution possible. "This initiative reflects the core values of humanity and compassion. We are deeply moved by the outpouring of support from individuals and organizations, whether in Canada or Jordan, who made it possible to bring some joy and relief during this special time of the year."

Ali also emphasized the importance of continued global solidarity, particularly for refugees who are often left out of mainstream charitable efforts. "Our mission goes beyond Ramadan. We aim to provide long-term support and advocate for lasting peace, but moments like this allow us to remind people of the power of collective action and the responsibility we have toward one another."

Looking Ahead

The Humans for Peace Institution’s Ramadan 2025 campaign is just one example of its ongoing efforts to support vulnerable communities worldwide. As the organization looks toward the future, it remains committed to expanding its reach, forging new partnerships, and continuing to spread the message of peace, charity, and goodwill.

As the month of Ramadan progresses, the Humans for Peace Institution will continue to engage with communities to ensure that no one is left behind, offering aid and comfort to those who need it most. Through their dedication, both in Canada and in refugee camps like Al-Zaatari, the institution is making a meaningful impact on the lives of countless individuals across the globe.
