The vibrant spirit of unity and diversity was on full display at the 24th Annual Indo-Caribbean Multicultural Celebration held in Ottawa, drawing leaders, cultural advocates, and community members from across the region. Among the distinguished attendees were key representatives from the Humans for Peace Institution (HPI), reaffirming the organization’s commitment to intercultural harmony and peaceful coexistence.

Dr. Jamal Alsharif, President of Humans for Peace Institution, was joined by Dr. Abdallah Albadarneh, Vice President, and Eric Purdie, Director of Technology. Together, they represented HPI at this dynamic event, which featured traditional music, dance performances, cultural cuisine, and community dialogue highlighting the rich heritage of Indo-Caribbean communities in Canada.

"This celebration is a true reflection of Canada’s strength through diversity," said Dr. Alsharif. "As an organization committed to peace, inclusion, and cultural understanding, we are proud to be part of this event and to continue building bridges across communities."

The presence of HPI leaders at the celebration underlined the institution’s active role in engaging with multicultural communities, supporting grassroots initiatives, and promoting peace through dialogue and cooperation. Dr. Albadarneh echoed this message, adding, "These events offer a meaningful opportunity to connect, learn, and show solidarity with communities that make Canada such a vibrant place."

Eric Purdie, Director of Technology at HPI, also highlighted the importance of leveraging technology to foster inclusive communication and cultural outreach. "Technology plays a key role in amplifying voices, preserving heritage, and connecting people beyond borders."

The 24th Annual Indo-Caribbean Multicultural Celebration continues to serve as a model for community engagement, unity in diversity, and cultural pride — values deeply shared by Humans for Peace Institution.
