The Humans for Peace Institution (HPI) proudly celebrated Canadian Multiculturalism Day on June 27, 2026, by organizing a special Open Mic Event for 20 seniors, providing a welcoming space to share their experiences, stories, and perspectives on multiculturalism in Canada and the importance of social cohesion.
The event brought together seniors from diverse cultural backgrounds, who spoke about their journeys to Canada, the value of cultural diversity, and how mutual respect and inclusion help build stronger and more connected communities. Participants highlighted the importance of preserving their cultural heritage while embracing Canadian values of diversity, equality, and unity.
The open discussion encouraged meaningful conversations, allowing attendees to learn from one another and strengthen friendships across cultures. The event reflected Canada's rich multicultural identity and reinforced the vital role that seniors play in promoting understanding, respect, and community engagement.
Following the discussions, participants enjoyed refreshments in a warm and friendly atmosphere, providing additional opportunities for social interaction and connection.
Humans for Peace Institution extends its sincere gratitude to all participants and volunteers who contributed to the success of this meaningful celebration.
