Humans for Peace Institution Mourns the Tragic Loss of Parker and Honors the Spirit of Community Volunteers

Humans for Peace Institution (HPI) expresses its deepest sorrow following the heartbreaking confirmation that Parker, the 11-year-old boy who went missing in Calgary in July, has been found deceased. Our hearts are with Parker's family, friends, classmates, and everyone affected by this unimaginable tragedy.

Parker's disappearance touched the hearts of people across Canada and inspired an extraordinary community response. Thousands of volunteers joined police, search and rescue teams, and emergency responders in an extensive effort to bring him home safely. Sadly, after nearly two weeks of searching, authorities confirmed that Parker had been found deceased. Community vigils have since been held to honor his life and support his grieving family.

Humans for Peace Institution was honored to stand alongside the Calgary community during this difficult time. More than 30 HPI volunteers traveled to assist with the search efforts, demonstrating the compassion, solidarity, and commitment that define volunteerism in Canada. Although the outcome was not what anyone had hoped for, our volunteers remained dedicated to supporting search operations and offering comfort to the community.
