Statement of Condolence on the Passing of His Holiness Pope Francis

With hearts filled with profound sorrow and grief, the Humans for Peace Institution extends its deepest condolences to the Catholic Church and Christian communities around the world on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, who departed to the mercy of God on the morning of Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88, following a period of illness.

Pope Francis was a global beacon of peace, humility, and coexistence. Throughout his papacy, he stood as a courageous advocate for justice, compassion, and the dignity of every human being. His unwavering voice on behalf of the oppressed and his commitment to building bridges across faiths and cultures left an indelible mark on humanity.

The world has lost a moral leader whose legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. In this time of mourning, we stand in solidarity with all those who were touched by his message of love, mercy, and unity.
